Description
I’ve decided to write a book about a part of my life that meant so much to me, and I don’t ever want to forget it. Life is moving by so fast, and it was a time in my life when I found true happiness. Growing up, finding happiness was very hard for me to find. Everyone goes through ups and downs in their lives, but it always seemed like mine was always going down. At least that’s how I felt growing up, but when you’re older looking back at those times, it doesn’t seem too bad. When your life is filled with more responsibilities those little things in life doesn’t seem to matter much anymore. This is why I needed to write this book, because I don’t want to lose those moments in my life. Especially the time when I found my true love, and possibly the love of my life. This is a memoir of my life so far. My name is Stacy Tong, and I’m a Chinese American. I grew up in New York City, and have pretty much been a New Yorker for most of my life. I love the city life, and long to be part of that crazy hustle and bustle lifestyle. Living in New York isn’t for everyone, because it’s fast pace and the craziness can drive some people away. I’m young and I’m ambitious and at this time, it’s something that I’m looking forward to. I’m not a very important person, I’m actually rather ordinary to be honest. I just thought that I share my life experience so far, and see if anyone out there will also find it interesting. Growing up, I read books from Amy Tan, and she talked about the experiences of being Chinese in America as well as being in China. Her take on things were pretty spot on, but there were some things that she tends to leave out. The sexual side of things. I’m not saying that I’m a crazy sex goddess or anything like that, but I feel that sex is part of life, and even though Amy Tan wrote a lot about being a woman and the struggles of being an Asian woman, she wrote really little about the sexual exploits that any woman would have. I decided that I would try to explore that part more. It’s not like I’m going to write that I’m a complete slut and that I went around and slept with everyone. That could be a good book as well; but no, I just have my experiences and I just hope that they are interesting enough for you to keep reading about my life. I went through some strange things trying to break away from my parent’s stranglehold on me, because that’s what Chinese parents do with their children. It was hard, and the way that I did rebel was through sex, and defiance. Then I found my true love. This became a turning point in my life. Nothing else seemed to matter when I met him, and things changed very fast. We have our ups and downs, but I think we have more ups than downs. We still have each other, and that’s more important to me than anything else. What we are holding on to is our love for each other. Our love that transcends this existence and one that will live on forever. Take this little journey with me and see if you’ll find what I have to say interesting to you. If it does, enjoy, if it doesn’t, I’m sorry. I call this book, a life filled with daisies, because daisies are my favorite flower. It could have been called a life full of roses, but that saying is overused. Since I like daisies more, I changed it to fit me. I hope you enjoy your ride reading about my life so far. | ASIN : B0D4QDWTSL | ISBN13 : 9798326115621.0 | ISBN-13 : 979-8326115621
